Wine in a dream is unlawful money obtained without effort. Whoever drinks it and does not get drunk will gain lawful wealth. Drunkenness from it indicates fear, ignorance, and the loss of blessings. Whoever sees himself pressing wine is serving a ruler and gaining unlawful money from him.

Wine indicates strife, evil, enmity, and hatred. For a ruler, it may indicate dismissal. Drinking wine with a group indicates participation in strife and heresy.

Drinking wine is interpreted as committing a great sin. Whoever sees himself in a wine gathering is heedless of God's remembrance and falls into diversion and falsehood. The river of wine in Paradise indicates lawful sustenance and marriage to the Houris (maidens of Paradise).
