Water in a dream signifies Islam, knowledge, life, fertility, and prosperity, because all living things depend on it for life. If one sees himself drinking plenty of clear, fresh water, it indicates a long life and a pure livelihood. If he drinks it from a well easily, he will gain wealth through the cunning of a wicked man. Stagnant water indicates confinement and prison. Murky water signifies a miserable life, and salty water indicates distress and worry. Hot water represents torment and illness. Whoever sees himself giving water in a cup to another, it indicates a child. Water flowing in houses or markets indicates strife and calamities. Walking on water indicates strong faith and certainty.
