The sword in a dream is authority, a son, a high position, or a brave man. A sword in its sheath is a woman. Drawing a sword from its sheath indicates seeking a position of authority or the birth of a baby boy. Striking with a sword indicates argument and proof. A broken sword indicates the death of a son or brother, or dismissal from a position.

The sword indicates decisive speech or a brave man who settles matters. Whoever girds himself with a sword will assume a position of authority. A sword made of wood means he will befriend a hypocritical man. Playing with a sword indicates skill in war or dispute. A rusty sword indicates a son with a bad reputation.

The sword is interpreted as a king, a judge, or a man of authority. Whoever sees his sword grow long, his authority will strengthen and his command will be executed. Whoever sees himself striking someone's neck with a sword will free a slave or release a prisoner. A broken sword indicates the weakness and feebleness of the authority.
