The lion in a dream is interpreted as a powerful and tyrannical ruler, due to its great danger, boldness, fearsome appearance, and intense anger. Whoever sees himself fighting a lion is challenging an enemy or a ruler. Whoever rides it while it obeys him will gain control over a dangerous, unjust ruler. Eating a lion's flesh means acquiring wealth from a ruler and defeating an enemy. The lion's skin, hair, and bones represent wealth and inheritance. Whoever sees a lion in his house, if there is a sick person, it indicates his death; if not, it indicates hardship from a ruler. Fleeing from a lion signifies salvation, safety from fear, and achieving one's goals.

The lion in a dream indicates death and hardship, as it preys on souls. It might also indicate recovery for a sick person. Whoever sees a lion approach him without touching him will be frightened by a ruler but will not be harmed. Whoever flees from a lion without the lion chasing him will be saved from what he fears and dreads. Seeing a lioness indicates a wicked and domineering woman. A lion cub is interpreted as a brave son. Whoever is wrestled down by a lion without being killed will suffer a persistent fever, as the lion is always feverish.

Whoever sees that he has turned into a lion will become an oppressor relative to his station. Whoever sees himself riding a lion and directing it as he wishes, his status will rise and he will conquer his enemies. Whoever sees a lion following him, it represents fear of the ruler. Whoever sees himself fighting a lion is disputing with a strong enemy.
