A knife in a dream is a useful servant, a male child, or a proof and argument. Whoever is given a knife will be blessed with a baby boy or his argument will be strengthened. Slaughtering with a knife indicates injustice and undutifulness (to parents). Sharpening a knife indicates preparing for a matter involving dispute.

A knife indicates love and affection if it is in the dreamer's hand and he does not use it. Whoever sees a butcher's knife in his hand will gain authority and power. Whoever injures himself with a knife will fall into a matter that amazes people.
