The right hand indicates strength, sustenance, livelihood, and earnings. The left hand indicates a brother, a friend, or a wife. Long hands indicate generosity, strength, and victory. The cutting off of the right hand indicates a false oath or theft.

The hand indicates work and giving. The cutting off of the left hand indicates severing ties of kinship with his brothers or friends. Whoever sees his hands tied is a stingy man. Whoever sees his hand become a child's hand is doing a deed that involves play.
