Crying in a dream is joy and happiness if it is without screaming, slapping (the face), or wearing black. If it is with screaming and slapping, it is a calamity, worry, and sadness. Crying out of fear of Allah, hearing the Quran, or from remorse for a sin indicates relief, joy, and the removal of worries, and it is a sign of faith.

Crying indicates sadness if accompanied by screaming and wailing. If it is cold tears without shouting, it is relief from distress and worry. If the tears are hot, it is worry and sadness. Whoever sees himself crying over a known person who has died will fall into worry, and the deceased's family will share in it.

Whoever sees himself crying with flowing tears but without screaming, it is joy and happiness. If the crying is with blood, it is remorse for a missed opportunity and repentance. If the crying is with slapping (the face) and tearing clothes, it is sadness and a great calamity. Whoever sees the people of a place crying, relief from worry will come to them.
