Clothes in a dream represent a man's religion or his worldly life, his piety, and his work. The best clothes are white, indicating righteousness in religion and worldly life. Black clothes represent leadership and wealth for one accustomed to wearing them in wakefulness, but for one not accustomed, they are worry and grief. Green clothes indicate religion, worship, and goodness for the living and the dead. Yellow clothes indicate sickness and weakness. A new garment for an unmarried person is marriage, for a married person a child, and for the poor, wealth.

Clothes represent a person's covering in his world and his religion. Whoever sees himself wearing a new, wide garment, it is abundance in his religion and his world. Torn clothes indicate a torn religion or situation, or poverty and need. Washing clothes indicates repentance from sins and the removal of worries. Silk clothes for men indicate high position and status but corruption in religion, while for women, they are marriage, high status, and joy.

A garment is interpreted as the man himself, and whatever good or bad or tearing is seen in it, its interpretation reflects on the dreamer's religion and worldly life. Whoever sees that he is wearing luxurious clothes, his status and honor will increase. Short clothes indicate shortcomings in religion. Whoever wears women's clothes will be afflicted with worry, humiliation, and fear. Whoever wears clothes that do not suit him will take on a matter he is not qualified for. A wet garment is a difficult journey.
