Bread in a dream signifies knowledge, Islam, life, and the sustenance of the soul. Pure, white bread indicates a clear livelihood and pure knowledge. A loaf of bread for a scholar represents his knowledge, for a ruler his justice, and for an artisan his honesty. Dry bread indicates hardship in livelihood. Eating thin bread indicates abundant sustenance and a long life. Hot bread indicates hypocrisy and unlawful money.

Bread indicates the wealth that sustains the soul. Whoever sees himself taking a bite from a loaf is a greedy man. Bitter bread indicates a bitter life. Bread dough indicates honorable wealth from which much good and blessing will come. Seeing bread above the clouds indicates high prices. If it is in inappropriate places like filth, it indicates low prices and prosperity.

Bread is interpreted as livelihood and sustenance. Whoever sees himself eating good, pure bread, his life will be pleasant. If it is spoiled and black, his livelihood will be troubled. Whoever sees himself distributing bread to the poor will gain abundance in his sustenance, good praise, and his worries will disappear. A loaf of bread may be interpreted as a mother or a wet nurse. Making bread indicates striving to seek livelihood, proportional to the quality of the bread.
