Climbing out safely is the success and attainment of the booty. Interpretations from major scholars of the Sunni tradition: - Ibn Sirin: Descending into the well is striving. The necklace of pearls is the memorization of the Quran, or lawful precious wealth, or a righteous wife. Emerging to the surface is the completion of blessings and salvation from plots. - Al-Nabulsi: Finding the luminous necklace at the bottom is a great divine gift. The vision heralds the facilitation of difficulties, the gathering of wealth from lawful sources, and the attainment of a high status. - Ibn Shahin: Whoever descends a well and extracts pearls and comes out safely, will attain honor and dignity, his needs fulfilled, be provided with untainted wealth, and his end will be elevated. Interpretations for different social statuses: - Single girl: A decisive glad tiding of her engagement and marriage to a religious man of great wealth and status, and success illuminating her future. - Married woman: A near pregnancy with a child who will have a great standing, or a major promotion for her husband bringing goodness and prosperity to her home. - Divorced or widowed woman: The divine compensation from the depths of sorrow, and the beginning of a stable life and material independence that honors her. - Single man or young man: Seizing a rare job opportunity, huge profits, and his success in marrying a woman of noble origin and purity. - Married man: The success of his business many times over, the settlement of his debts, and that God will elevate his status and the status of his family, and grant him righteous offspring.
