I saw my house door covered with a black spiderweb. I recited the Mu'awwidhat (last two surahs). The web turned into threads of shimmering golden silk.
التفسير:
My eye, the spiderweb symbolizes envy and hindrance. The Mu'awwidhat are the ruqyah. Its transformation into gold is the nullification of the plot and its transformation into benefit and booty. Interpretations from major scholars of the Sunni tradition: - Ibn Sirin: The spiderweb is weakness and envy. Reciting the Mu'awwidhat is fortification. Its transformation into gold symbolizes the change of hardship into ease and wealth after hardship. - Al-Nabulsi: Removing the web with the Quran is the expulsion of devils. The golden silk is wealth, success, and the repulsion of the envious's plot for benefit. - Ibn Shahin: Whoever nullifies harm with the Quran and it turns into gold, will overcome his enemies, his debts settled, and he will enjoy prosperity. Interpretations for different social statuses: - Single girl: Breaking the knot of envy that hindered her marriage, and the opening of doors to happiness and wealth with a righteous husband. - Married woman: The nullification of envy that almost suffocated her home, and the return of calm and material prosperity to her family. - Divorced or widowed woman: The recovery of her strength, and the transformation of the harshness of the past into a safe, independent, and prosperous life. - Single man or young man: The removal of professional obstacles, and brilliant success that brings him huge profits and stability. - Married man: The settlement of accumulated debts, the relief of his crisis, and that God will fill his home and business with blessings and abundant provision.
