نص الحلم:
I dreamed that a terrifying black dog was running towards me to attack me, so I stood my ground and began to recite the Mu'awwidhatayn (the last two Surahs of the Quran), so the dog stopped, howled, and then fled.
التفسير:
The black dog in a dream often symbolizes a rebellious devil, or an envious and malicious enemy trying to harm the dreamer. Standing firm and reciting the Mu'awwidhatayn is seeking complete refuge in Allah and fortifying oneself with the greatest revelation for protection from evils. The dog's escape brings glad tidings of the dreamer's complete victory over the plots of his enemies, the invalidation of any envy or magic directed against him, and that Allah has protected him from the evil of those who intend him harm and has made their plotting go astray.
