I saw myself standing on the bank of the river of Al-Kawthar. I scooped up a handful of its water with my hand, and it was whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. I felt that I would never be thirsty again.
التفسير:
My beloved, the river of Al-Kawthar is the basin of the Prophet ﷺ. Drinking from it symbolizes following the Sunnah, a good ending, salvation from the thirst of the Day of Judgment and trials, and attaining eternal strength and well-being, and wealth that is never followed by poverty. Firstly: Interpretation according to major Sunni scholars: - According to Imam Ibn Sirin: Drinking from Al-Kawthar signifies the whiteness of the record, following the Prophet's Sunnah, and steadfast certainty. The water's sweetness and whiteness signify healing from every ailment, the dissipation of worries, lawful sustenance, and never being thirsty again signifies safety from the Fire. - According to Imam Al-Nabulsi: Al-Kawthar signifies victory over enemies (Indeed, We have granted you Al-Kawthar). Drinking from it with your hand signifies safety from fear, long life in obedience, wealth that makes the dreamer independent of people, and a glad tiding of an imminent and accepted Hajj or Umrah. - According to Imam Ibn Shahin: Whoever drinks from Al-Kawthar and is quenched forever will be gathered with the righteous, their needs fulfilled, and a great relief will come, changing their life to ease and complete prosperity, and setting their religious and worldly affairs right with no return to misery. Secondly: Interpretation for different social statuses: - For a single girl: Drinking from Al-Kawthar heralds permanent protection, dazzling success, marriage to a pious man who protects her as he protects the Sunnah, and a life filled with happiness, contentment, and strong faith that will never thirst after it. - For a married woman: The vision reflects her establishment of the Sunnah in her home. The water of Al-Kawthar heralds the righteousness of her children, the protection of her husband and family from all evil or poverty, and that her home will be filled with lasting blessings and affection. - For a divorced or widowed woman: The sweetness of Al-Kawthar is the greatest solace and divine compensation for her tired heart. The vision affirms that God will protect her and suffice her against people's evil, granting her tranquility, elevation, and dignity that enriches her beyond any human support. - For a single man or young man: The vision indicates his righteousness in his youth and his salvation from trials. Being quenched heralds astonishing professional success, a respected status, and that God will protect him from slips and grant him a righteous wife who helps him. - For a married man: Al-Kawthar symbolizes his pure lawful earnings and the purity of his wealth. The vision heralds the settlement of debts, expansion of sustenance, complete protection, and that God will make his offspring righteous, raising his head, and continue the blessing of well-being upon him.
