I saw myself fasting all day, feeling intense hunger and thirst. At iftar (breaking the fast), my deceased father gave me a plate of dates and cold water. I drank and was quenched.

My soul, fasting and hunger represent patience in affliction or delayed sustenance. Being quenched heralds the warding off of a bad death, and the facilitation of affairs through the blessing of the father's answered prayers. - According to Imam Ibn Shahin: Whoever fasts and is given iftar by a righteous deceased person with dates and water will attain great blessings, live the life of the happy, doors of goodness will open for them, their debts settled, their worries removed, and their days will become good after long patience. Secondly: Interpretation for different social statuses: - For a single girl: Fasting represents her patience. Breaking her fast from her father heralds her success in her academic and professional life, and her success in a blessed marriage to a well-off and generous man who satisfies her heart and provides her with comfortable living and protection. - For a married woman: The vision heralds the stability of her home and the removal of any financial or emotional hardship after long patience. The dates and water are her husband's lawful provision. Being quenched affirms that her home will be filled with blessings, prosperity, and affection. - For a divorced or widowed woman: Fasting represents her solitude and struggle. Breaking her fast from her father is the generous divine compensation that will enrich her beyond asking people. The vision represents divine support for her, and heralds a new, stable life. - For a single man or young man: The vision heralds that success will be with him in all his professional steps after hardship and thirst.
